Ridley’s Fish and Game supplied the mackerel for the Great British Menu Banquet Fish Course in the presence of HRH Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall. Due to inclement weather it was not posssible to catch any Mackerel on the North East coast as planned. However, David Ridley managed to save the day with line caught mackerel he caught off the coast of Cornwall at the very last minute.
Michelin-starred chef Kenny Atkinson won the place to cook the fish course for the Great British Menu Banquet. Kenny, who won the Hotel Chef of the Year recently, is at Rockliffe Hall, a newly-created luxury hotel, golf and spa development in Hurworth, County Durham, in December 2009.
